Sustainability in Action
How can sustainability be strategically anchored in a large, complex system?
A newly formed team within the European structure of an international corporation faced the challenge of making a visible impact in a massive organization. The question: How can sustainability be implemented strategically without setting unrealistic expectations?
The Challenge
A new team, an established structure – and the task of driving sustainability in a realistic and strategic way. What actionable measures can be implemented within such a vast system?
The Idea and Approach
„All I Can Do is The Next Right Thing.“ The strategy focused on small, practical tactics that seamlessly integrated into existing processes. Through co-creative workshops, the team developed a set of actionable measures that were both feasible and immediately applicable. By building on existing structures, the team gradually introduced sustainable changes into the organization’s daily operations, all while maintaining a focus on the bigger picture.
The Impact
The sustainability roadmap became a real tool: tangible, actionable, and effective. The team positioned itself as a strategic partner within the organization, laying the foundation for a future where sustainability is not just a goal, but a lived reality.
